Suffering with a Gospel Lens

IMG_5103.JPG

Our gospel-centered resource recommendation this week is “Suffering” by Paul Tripp. This is recommended by our guest blogger this week who shared about how God worked in her life in a big way during her suffering, scroll down if you missed it! She quotes,

“Suffering has the power to help you see where you’ve been completely blind but didn’t know it. Suffering can bless you with a joy that’s independent of life being easy….Hardship can turn envy into contentment and complaint into praise.”

Paul Tripp walks us through his own story and experience with suffering, weaving through practical biblical truth, traps to avoid and graces to behold in our darkest times. And as Paul Tripp is known to do, he helps us make the gospel connections to our lives, understanding and applying suffering in light of Christ’s life, death and resurrection. Whether you’re in a season of suffering or not just yet, this is important truth to have stored up in your heart for when the unexpected hits.
