Keep Setting Your Table
This week I had a call with a dear mama who has gone through the Agape Moms training in the past but now is ready to start taking the steps to launch a group! We chatted about the common things that hold us all back from following those nudges from the Holy Spirit.
Fear is the big one! Fear of the unknown, fear of failure, fear of rejection, and the fear of what if no one comes, was one we were talking about towards the end of our conversation.
I told her about how me and other Agape Moms leaders across the country and in different contexts have seen God bring people in the most unlikely ways.
I encouraged her that prayer played a huge role, and to just continue to depend on Him, asking Him what you can do each day and follow through.
Ask the Lord, who can I encourage today? Who can I bless? Where might I intentionally spend my day to build relationships for Christ?
I told her, “just keep setting your table, and the Lord will bring the people.”
Moments later, we had to cut our phone call short because someone was at her door, which was very uncommon for her neighborhood. She called me back later and said that a young single mother selling magazines to make ends meet had knocked. She was able to encourage her and share a bit of her testimony.
We both got chills when we reflected on the timing of that door knock and our conversation.
Imagine if we all lived in a way in which our trust in God to show up was louder than our fear.
I hope this little encouragement we experienced from Jesus this week encourages you to take brave steps towards building His kingdom! And if God is nudging you to open up a gospel-centered community for women to hear and grow in the gospel, message Agape Moms today so we can chat about starting the training!
